We bought our Nissan Leaf almost a year ago from EVRides. Great car and great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a second car for back and forth to work, running errands, or socializing around town. Runs great and easily charges overnight. Came with lots of luxuries like heated seats, heated steering wheel, and GPS. Staff at EVRides is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.

Guillermo and Anton absolutely nailed it. Listened to what I wanted, showed it to me and sold it to me with no fuss. I was surprised how excellent my new car is and the amazing range it came with considering what a steal it was! They did all the paperwork including the tax rebate and registration. I don’t need to shop anywhere else.

If you're looking for an inexpensive electric car this is the place to get it. There's no money grubbing salesman, all the employees are honest and hard-working .Don't let the rough exterior fool you, they know their electric cars and will get you set up with charging stations. Go green.

We bought a 2014 Tesla S from EV Rides yesterday. I’ve already put almost 200 miles on it and have another 100 to go today. I’ve had zero issues, and with EV Ride’s battery and motor maintenance abilities, I expect this will be a solid car for many years. I also greatly appreciated the zero pressure environment, and the quiet confidence these guys have in their vehicles!

"Wow" is all I can say. What a great experience! We purchased a Nissan Leaf and upgraded to a brand new 40kWh battery. These guys are so friendly and so quick. We test drove two different cars, both in excellent condition. This is primarily a mechanic shop, not a dealership. What a breath of fresh air compared to the usual icky used car salesman vibe. Guillermo is hands down one of the friendliest, most approachable, knowledgeable (and charming!) people. *Swoon* Take advantage of the instant tax credit and save major $$$. They will absolutely work within your budget. I would recommend this shop for all your EV needs. FYI: parking is a nightmare so you may have to park in the self storage place next door. Don't be scared off by the damaged cars out front - those aren't the ones they are selling!

I came to Portland from the San Francisco bay area for a visit to see my daughter, and I certainly wasn’t expecting to leave town with the car of my dreams from EV Rides. My objective was straightforward—find a safe, efficient vehicle at a reasonable price. What I didn’t expect was the level of attention they paid to my needs. They really took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, and their customer service was exceptional. Even after the sale, they continued to follow up, ensuring I was fully satisfied and answering any lingering questions I had regarding the car registration. It’s clear that these guys truly stand behind their products. Now, when you compare EV Rides to those massive dealerships with their armies of staff—sales managers, finance departments, mechanics, title clerks—well, EV Rides does things a bit differently. Being a smaller business, they handle it all in-house. In fact, I was surprised to learn that one person acts as the sales manager, title clerk, tech support, and pretty much everything else. This approach creates an atmosphere of welcoming transparency, trust, and genuine warmth, something you rarely find at a larger dealership. Let’s be honest: Big dealerships tend to drag the whole process out, turning it into a marathon filled with paperwork, exhaustion, and, of course, surprising hidden fees. But at EV Rides, their compact team is not only transparent, they’re also incredibly thorough. They dot every “i,” cross every “t,” and make sure no detail is overlooked. And that’s exactly how I knew I could trust them. I recently experienced issues with my EV battery. I reached out to the guys for advice. They were quick to respond on multiple occasions and advised me on how to interpret my diagnostic data. I’m 200 miles away from their shop and they continued to offer advice as I pursed another purchase. I would highly recommend them and they would be my first choice for future service. EDIT: I want to update my originally-1-star review to a 5-star review and say that EV rides PDX made everything right! They took the car back from Seattle (at their expense) made all of the required fixes, and sent the Nissan Leaf back in 100% perfect shape. They even detailed the inside to make it super clean and ready to go. I'll be recommending EV Rides PDX for anyone looking for a very fairly priced EV. My 2016 Nissan Leaf is now in great shape, and I love driving it daily! --- Original review - NOTE: EV Rides has made everything right! They clearly do care about their customers, and that goes a long way. I'll be recommending them to my friends and family. I had a very negative experience with EV Rides PDX. I recently bought a 2016 Nissan Leaf with a 40kwh battery. To start, though, Guillermo is awesome. Super nice guy, really easy to get a car with. The car showed up in dirty condition about 1.5-2 weeks later than it said it would be delivered, with minimal communication for the delivery. And upon receipt of the vehicle, it was discovered by my mechanic that a rodent had chewed through the rear windshield washer line, which is a $2500 job to replace. This means that, when the driver uses the rear windshield washer stalk, windshield washers sprays *inside* the cabin directly on to the passenger. Awesome. The trunk struts were so worn that the trunk would not stay open on its own, and the windshield was so dirty and smeared (with completely worn windshield wipers that were non-functional) that I had trouble driving the car home as it was so hard to see. The car was listed as being in "excellent" condition, to be clear. It also has a bit of a strange smell to it that I'll need to take to the detailing shop. Definitely far from excellent. The new battery they installed is in great condition, however, with a 100% state-of-health on the battery, so it's not all bad. I definitely could have gotten a better and newer used EV for a similar price with all of the repairs considered, however, which is why I am, ultimately, quite disappointed in my experience. I was so excited to get this car, but now I mark it as a loss and am looking to sell it/trade it in as soon as possible. I told all of my friends and family to stay away, and will also be posting in EV communities asking about EV Rides PDX to make sure everyone stays away. To their credit, EV Rides reached out upon seeing this review to resolve the issue, but ultimately, could not offer any solutions that would actually fix the issue. The only things that would fix the issues are: 1. Pay for all repairs that have already been done and have to be done in the future. or 2. Take the car back immediately and refund what they can. They cannot do either, so the issues will not be resolved and the car will be junked ASAP. The thing that is even worse is that now my used EV tax credit is used up on a car that is quite terrible, and I’m finding new issues with it daily.
